My partner is reading me this new Wraeththu book by Storm as a bedtime story, and her writing is better than ever.

I really like the Wraiths of Will and Pleasure but this looks like it might be topping it.
At one point the doctor who healed Caeru mentions something about how before Wraethu were playing around in the ruins (of the old human world) and now they have emerged blinking in the harsh sunlight of the new Wraethu world... That's so the feeling of this book (so far)
